Hi, my dream of building a putt putt for my retirement has come to an end. Mother nature has decided my body can no longer cope with the task, that silent bastard athritus has taken over. I had started to renovate a Chapman Pup engine, unfortunatly it had been left underwater for a conciderable time. The salvageable bits I have cleaned and checked, but now I have to get rid of them. So anyone interested drop me an email. Next step will be ebay to try to recoup some of the purchase price. 1/ Clutch. In good order, when pulled apart I found it had been filled with grease so has escaped internal damage. Repainted and worked by hand. 2/ Greasers and elbow, still has origional grease. 3/ Inlet repainted. 4/ Magneto and drive. Magneto disassembled and cleaned, gives spark when turned by hand but still has the origonal capcitor. 5/ Vapourisor. Stripped cleaned, new gaskets and new filter fitted. 6/ Water pump, works by hand in a bucket of water. 7/ The Pup badge. There is a flywheel with crank still attached and magneto drive gear attached. |
