Hello All,

I am new here, and I hope some of you can help me on this quest. I have a 1961 Buehler Turbocraft jet 32f that has been in my family since I was a small boy. I am 32 now and I want to restore that old boat. I have so many fond memories in that thing. Any way it is powered by a 225 slant 6, my delema is where can I find marine parts for the thing. I mainly need an intake /exhaust, its cracked and the welding shops say it can be repaired. I also need some carb parts for it. It is an up draft style carb.
N E way any help is greatly appreciated.
Shawn

keep calling machine shops to see if they can do the repair or call a marine engine rebuilder for help as for the carb send it to a carb rebuilder that should work.

Its a long shot, but a couple of years ago,we were
restoring a 1600 marinised Ford motor, and we needed
a new manifold assy.
The old unit was made by Lees Marine in
Papakura , New Zealand.
After getting their phone # and ringing them, they
informed me that they no longer produced marine
parts,BUT! They gave me the number of the guy with
all the patterns. He is in Christchurch(south island of NZ)and owns a company making heat exchangers etc.
He was more than happy to get out the pattern,
make a mold,pour a casting,machine it,and freight
it to Australia .All for $475 Aud.
When asked how soon did I need it?
I replied, when its ready will be fine.
He said is a week ok?
What service !! It took longer to get through Aussie customs, they probably thought it was a
part for a Korean missile.(idiots)
Anyway I asked if he had other patterns and he
has patterns for GM,Ford(us)(uk)(aus),Chrysler
(us aus)and a few others.
I will try to locate the relevant data and post it.
But failing that you could try the Lees marine contact again

Hey I was looking at this post and I think I found at least part of your search/quest.
I had a boat with twin 225 slant sixes. 36' 1971 Witt craft.

I put two new Exhaust manifolds on it a while back. They also have end plates and hardware to.

Here is the site
http://www.marineparts.com/osco/osco49.aspx

Hope this helps

Hi you all. I have a chrysler 225 slant six engine with a volvo penta outdrive that i am looking to sell. Its a good parts engine and i think someone should rebuild it. Manifold looks great and all the other parts look great as well. I tried to start it but it has low compression from sitting for many years. If anyone is interested in this just let me know at [email protected] The out drive is like new as well.

Hello Everyone,
Like you I have been struggling with this. I found a place that has what we need. Go to OSCOmotors.com and look under conversion parts, NOT Chrysler. On page 49 of their catalog there will be 2 options to order a manifold, depending on the type of elbow you want (from pages 54 and 55).
Personaly for my setup, I will be getting the CH618xBE Manifold and the 18400 Elbow. Good Luck everyone.}}
