I have a Dorman Diesel 2DSM marine engine in fair condition I want to sell it, I also have 3 starter motors for this model for sale, If any intrest I live on Central coast n.s.w australia.

hello all,
I've got a question and probably someone here's got the answer.
My grandfather has got a Dorman stationary diesel. It was bougt in the early sixties
as part of a milling installation (millstones, mixer, rollers) and should be build at least
a couple of years earlier (1920?) because he bought it second hand......
At the moment he's clearing out the farm (he's 81) and wanted to sell the Dorman
for scrap metal! I've suggested to buy the complete installation (by proffesion I'm a
millwright/miller).
I know allready it's likely a good bargain to buy this one for scrap metal prices (for it had
been running until a few years ago)...
Any info or suggestion are VERY welcome;
..worth, weight, type, etc...
origin (boat, crane?)

Looking for a power, torque curve, and fuel consumption curve or fuel consumption spec for a Dorman 6LC atmosphere engine, ie no turbo, Not sure of the C as the manual reffer to LA & LB Engines.
Also heat rejection and flow rates for the engine coolig circuit and the exhaust gas would be a great help.

Hi, this may be a bit new for this forum but I'm looking for a manual (or an enthusiast to ask questions of!) for a Lister/Dorman 6LDM. It's from the early 1950s. Also wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find parts as I think a head gasket has blown, and the leather belts are ageing and stretching fast. There are a lot of taps and wheels on it that I'm not certain of the use for, and I really just need any information or useful sources that anyone knows, as the boat that the engine drives is currently stuck in mooring away from home port...many thanks! |

to those people trying to sell Dorman diesels--if you have a 2 or 3 cylinder Dorman, try the English canal system--quite a few have found homes in 'TRAD' style boats (that is the style that has a boatmans back cabin and a stand-alone engine room)--done up, nice running engines |

Hi, I have some dorman 6QA parts. A Simms injector pump, #P4747/2 with a Woodward governor # 8560-619. A Delco starter series 50MT type 250 mod. 1109628. They come from a stationary genset with approx. 400 hours on it. I'm at [email protected] |

Hi there I have some new genuine dorman parts ie piston rings valves and guides main and rod bearing all parts are wrapped in original wax paper and in good condition there are some gaskets I'm told most of the parts are for the v 12 but I have a few even bigger items .Please send part nos and I ll check compatability and then give you a price the price will not be anywhere near original . |
