I took advantage of a slow day to update my list of antique marine engine catalogs and related information. If there is anything you are interested in let me know.

Cheers

Hi Bob,

My guess is your probably going to get swamped with collectors wanting copies of your catalogs and/or info. I myself would be interested in purchasing the two original catalogs listed below or good grade copies of the originals if you would be willing to do this for a price? If your more interested in trading catalogs or info let me know and I will PM you what I have which is not much on marine engines because I am mainly a stationary engine collector. However a few years back I started reading and talking with collectors like you on this forum and now have 5 or 6 inboard marine engines and I love them just as much as my stationary engines.

Detroit Marine Engines 1909 full line catalog.
Detroit Marine Engines 1911 full line catalog.

Hello Johnny - the originals are not for sale but I have a copy shop that makes reproductions that are very much like the originals that some folks cannot tell the difference.

Typically a reproduction costs between $16 and $21 + some shipping. I DO NOT CHARGE A FEE. If you (or anyone else) are interested just send me your snail mail address with a request for what you would like. It typically takes about a week to get them plus the mailing time. Just click on the blue highlighted name in the box to send an email

And Tim, if the Crossly is not on the list then I do not have one.

That's an impressive library Bob. Does the early Pierce catalog have the inverted motors in it?

I yam, I yam, but I have been cutting down large dead trees, beeches & one bass wood, dragging them out of our woods, cutting them up into 15 inch lengths, running them through my wood splitter, stacking them into the front loader of my tractor and and then re-stacking them on the front porch and in the wood bin at the end of the garage.

This evening I have a meeting from 1830 to 2030 but will look tomorrow at the Pierce catalog.

Some day I will get old and retire so that I have some spare time.
