Hi I have a Volvo 130 hp ad31b inboard in my boat with approx. 450 hours. I have serviced both the leg and engine with all new genuine parts. My problem is reverse gear. Does it have a separate oil supply that needs to be changed or does it share with the engine. I cant seem to find any drain plugs or suck out points on the reverse gear box at all. The engine runs fine and smooth with no clunks or knocks at all. |

The owners manual shows that you have either a MS2,MSA4 or PRM transmission. Oil removal is done through the dipstick hole on all units. The following operators manual link shows you each type and a description on how to check fill etc, pages 8,9 and 11 http://pie.volvopenta.com/ViewFileFrame.aspx?n=172433&r=2007-12-17-15-58-25&t=PD F&a=7746344&p=T403&d=Owners%20Publication&s=9567156&lang=en-GB Cheers Nobby |
