I am looking for 1/4 inch valve guides for these Hercules engines. They are about 1.5 inches long. Ertel number is G604. Anyone know where to get these? I need 16 for 2 engines. |

Have you tried "Goodson" or "NAPA" I have had very good luck with both of them. Matt |

I thought that the Midget was based on an Austin / Morris British engine. The bigger Buchanas were Hercules blocks. Those little engine don't have oil seal and when they get a bit worn, your bilge gets quite oily. Somewhere I think I might have the speed / torque curve for that engine. Miro |

Buchanan Midget is based upon the Hercules zx block. Most internal parts are the same for ZXA AND zxb EXCEPT PISTONS AND RINGS. Where are you located? |

I have an hercules JX4D-5 HERCULES engine, which came on an USMotors Generator. It came off of a Military instullation and was installed in the early 50's I think. I am looking for a point plate for the distributor. Can anyone help me locate on of these plates? |
