...I would like to know if anyone has ever seen this foundry mark before and what company does it stand for. S could mean Stamford, CT. and the F means foundry with CO standing for company. Would like to pin down if there was a foundry in Stamford by that name and if so when.
The engine as you can see well beyond restoration. It belongs to Calvert marine museum. I suspect they may clean it up and put it on exhibition. I have never seen one before.
The exhaust manifold is rusted out and cracked badly with salt water rust. Too bad it was brought inside for years and dried out. Thank you Andrew for posting the photos for me.
