hey everyone. I have a Roberts Marine engine we just restored to running condition and wanted to share it with some folks that can appreciate it. wont do a huge write up here, but will post a link to my Facebook album containing some pics and steps of where we started and ended up. if you have any questions, please fee free to ask. thanks! pics: https://www.facebook.com/dennisnuckols/media_set?set=a.10151190901714197.472775. 675224196&type=3 and here is a video and local newspaper article written up. Bob Davis is the machinist we worked with to bring this engine back to life. http://www.baxterbulletin.com/article/20130815/NEWS01/308150019/Bob-Davis-makes- rare-marine-motor-purr |

* Very nice restoration ! The video says 1905 Roberts ? E.W.Roberts established his company in 1906 in Clyde,Ohio,He moved to a bigger and better factory in 1909 located in Sandusky Ohio. The engine in video has Sandusky address making the engine not older than 1909, without detailed photos it seems that a much closer manufacturing date would be late 1909 or 1910. Possible to post some detailed photos ? or click on my name at left and email to me I'll post them here ? Good Stuff, appreciate the video * |

Very nice engine, the one I restored a few years back looks very similar and was a 1910. It belongs to a mullins launch we also have. Dave |
