Greetings everyone I am new to this site and this year bought a 40s/50s vintage 16ft clinker putt putt fitted with a 5/7 twin Blaxland-Chapman. It has a neat little forward/reverse gearbox but the guides I have for the engine show a forward gearbox only. I am not sure what kind of gearbox it is but a friend said it is possibly a rare original Blaxland-Chapman. Does anyone know? (Picture attached). I've been having some gearbox issues and would like to try and find a maintenance guide and perhaps some information on how this kind of gearbox/clutch assembly works to aide with troubleshooting. If any of you have any guides/possible leads; I am pretty novice and even the basic information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all, Sean. |

Thanks a lot Ernie, that's a great lead! There is some text in the same spot as on that Gies pic that says "Invincible" do you think that could be a model or a manufacturer? I just did a search on "Invincible gearbox" and found an old post from 2009 that suggests it could be a manufacturer. I'm responding to them now but I don't anticipate a response! |

Sean, I can't help on your question. I only recognized the style as I have a larger Gies gear. Ernie |
