Hi, new to this site, heres my current collection. Termaat & Monahan 1 1/2 hp, need mixer and bent connecting rod for water pump. Landis single (halfthe size of Termaat, sorry no pics of it) any info on Landis would be greatly appreciated. Coke bottle steam launch maker unknown, and very unusual half inverted steam launch, also unknown. I know you guys don't really do any steam on this site but any info would be very helpful. trying to load pics but when I press upload nothing happens, will try again |

Brett Try googling steamboating.org on your steam interests. a VERY good an helpful and active international group of knowledgeable hobbyists. Active group with meets are held annually. A meet in Lees Mills NH draws some 60 steam boaters each year.other meets held US and Canada. Discover Steamboating magazine with them. |

Brett, putting E.M. Landis-Toledo in google brings up a June 5th 1919 entry in Iron Age magazine on EM Landis co. |

Thanks Bruce, I guess there is not much info at all on the Landis. My engine is the same as the one on the other post, but I have a fuel tank mounted off the cylinder and has a V-belt pulley on end of shaft. Fuel tank looks to be original, maybe this was a stationary engine? I am restoring engine for the lagrange engine show coming up in a few weeks, I will have pics of it finished. Also, was wondering if it would be kosher to put a model-t carb on my Termaat & Monahan, would be a fairly easy modification and would look era, was even thinking about putting 2 carbs on, second one would go on crank case inspection cover, I think it would be a fun project. |
