What do you have that has plain old blackblacksmithing or what ever to make it run again? I have had this engine for over 25 years. It runs good. I guess it threw a rod and someone brought it back to life. It does have a new piston and rod in it as well as about 50 little allen screws and some heavy sheet brass. It is a 1 HP DuBrie

Interesting way to put a mounting ear back on an exhaust manifold Looks like it was drilled and tapped then bolted with the remainder of the bolt machined off. It works and doesn't leak

* A different type of patch ? A strip of prince Albert Tobacco can wrapped around connecting rod bearing insert ! Temporary at best but it was just to far to row out of that North Florida swamp ! * |

This engine was given to me recently. The shop made replacement head is nicely executed. The 'Special K' gasket is a much later addition. There has to be an interesting story behind this old piece iron.

Love it! Hope you will keep her as she is as a tribute to the makers and a subsequent owner's zeal! |
