Here's the latest addition to our collection. It is 20' long and 5' wide. Wood with the exterior of hull covered with fiberglass. I don't know much about the boat but will hopefully will be getting it running and in the water soon.

So what kind of boat is this? Pleasure, fishing, lobster??? I'm calling it a launch but that might not be correct. |

Our way they were used for fishing, either trawling with longlines or jigging. They usually between 20-25. Larger type were used for trap fishing. You can see a few pic here. https://www.facebook.com/#/groups/217554916201/ |

Thanks Tom, some great boats there.
I worked on her a while this afternoon. Got the engine to run a bit. Will run on the prime but doesn't seem to be getting fuel. I need to take the gas line off and see where the problem is. It sounded like it will run good. Does anyone know if this Acadia will run ether direction? If so how do I reverse it?

Yup realy enjoyed the pics!
Yes your engine will run both directions
Check the center gasket in the carb. That should be the only gasket in the carb. I use an O ring which works better than the cork gasket.

We finally got a chance to put the boat into the water last weekend. It took a lot of cranking and tuning but we finally got it running pretty good and we had a lot of fun putting around the lake. Here is a video of "Putt Putt" If you want to see the engine skip to the last quarter of the video. If anyone know anything about the history of this boat or has any suggestions please let me know. We still need to get the starting process figured out.

Nice boat, seems to ride really well.
I love the "Plan B" on the stern . I hope you eventually gain enough confidence that you can dispense with Plan B.
But you'll need to spend more time on the water running the boat, to really get to know it.

Thanks Miro. Yes, the "Plan B" on the stern was put there by the previous owner. It will be removed very soon. I'm looking forward to getting it back on the water. |
