I have recently come accross an early 2 cylinder Palmer engine in a barn. What is it worth? It looks to be complete. The jugs are off of it but they are there. Is it worth buying? I buy mostly early automotive and motorcycle, so marine is a little out of my realm. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I bought the engine and it is really neat. I will post pictures soon. I did some research and it is a Palmer model U2. It has both original brass tags on it. Is there any way to tell what year it is from the serial number? It has a really neat timer on it which was made in Meriden CT. I know the U2 was made from about 1906 to 1911. Are they fairly hard to find? Any further info on this would be great. Thanks |

Actually I think it might be a Q2, I have to look at the tag again. |
