Richard, I came across a text reference to a 4 cyl, 16hp, Fall River marine engine c. 1907/1908. Presumably the engine was manufactured in Fall River, MA but one never knows. Do you have any information on that one? |

* My list doesn't have a Fall River Marine Engine Co. as such ! but it does list six marine engine mfgrs in that time period in Fall River,probably referring to one of these makers ? * |

The following is all the information I have. It is from a copy of a barely readible, incomplete, newspaper clipping. From the context it sounds like the name of the engine is 'Fall River' rather than the engine simply being from Fall River. "The new boat will be 27 feet long and has four beam (sic). She will be a speed boat and the engine Mr. Sawyer is to put in her will be a four cylinder, 16 horsepower, Fall River." |
