Does anyone have one of these or any descriptive info pertaining to this engine. Dick Day hasn't any specs and has never seen one. My guess would be a Buick Special alum engine built from '61-'63. Thanks, David |

Well its in the sparkplug book as takeing RL82c champion plugs.If its a buick you could look up the serial number and see if it fits their numbering system.That model is allso listed as haveing a 2g carb in another book. |

Here is what I think you guys are talking about.
I suspect there could have been a mistake in the aftermarket parts book. Not saying Palmer didn't use it but Gray sure did.

Probably the same thing with palmer cast into the manifolds instead of gray. Under gray there is a v8 215 listed , but it don't have the PB in front of the number. Under palmer there is allso a PA 350 listed. |

Ernie and Larry, Thanks for info. The Buick 215" eng was only offered in this country '61-'63.Palmer may not have used it. Possibly didn't want to compete w/ Gray. Interesting, though. David |

Engine was rebuilt a while back, runs perfectly, very smooth. It is Fresh water cooled and has the 4bbl. carb on it.
Manifolds are tired and need replacement, and are hard to find.
I have Palmer's spec sheet for it but plugs aren't listed.
I will list this for sale at some point.
Just thought I's share, hope the photo comes through, this is my first post.

Hi Ernie,
The engine was in an early 22'Tripp Angler that I've used for the past few seasons, great boat!
Before it was installed in the Tripp the engine was rebuilt by Old Lyme Marina here in Ct.,they were a long time Palmer dealer. Once rebuilt and dolled up with paint and chrome valve covers etc. it was on display along with other Palmer engines in OLM's tidy show room.
Between the engine needing manifolds, and the boat feeling better with more weight in it, (I ballasted the hull last season and it "stiffened" her up and she sat on her lines better) I plan to offer this engine for sale.
This flickr link shows several versions of the Tripp since I owned her, including a shot of a big Hickory tree laying across her! She didn't sink, and no harm was done to the engine. The fore deck did need some attention though, and the windshield and bow rail were "toast". I've enjoyed her in what I call Cuttyhunk guide boat guise.
