Hi All, I've finaly taken the marine parts off the P60 engine (yes the manifold was rotten).I saved the dist.,thermostat housing and new thermostat, new ALT. and reg. and nos carb. I'm trying to get the engine it self to a cub tractor enthusiest. Just for the record this engine ran perfect with 40 psi of oil pressure even with the bad manifold it just wouldn't warm up and had way to much water coming out the exaust. So if there is a need let me know. Thanks , Tim |

The water pump is different than the tractor version also the flywheel and water hose fitting atop the cylinder head. I'd strip those items off as they will be of no use on a tractor. |

Is it just the block or does it include the carburator, dist.,thermostat housing and new thermostat, new ALT. and reg. and nos carb? I have a Palmer P60 I've managed to get running again thanks to a wonderful guy in Canada who had an exhaust mainfold, but for the right price, it might be good to have the spare parts. I really thought I might have a cracked block since we were getting water in the oil but it seems to be the rotted exhaust manifold and a poorly designed exhaust configuration that was letting water back up past the muffler into the engine because of rust in the muffler. I'm praying it's finally fixed for another 40 years. |

I stripped the engine down to the long block. The fly wheel and the drive gear for the alt/waterpump have been sold. I still have the rest.Take all or parts. Tim |

Parting out a P60/M60, electrical parts are gone. I paid $200 for the "transmission". The exhaust appears good. I had also purchased an IH block and crank before I gave up on the project. Reasonable offers will be considered. Located Long Island N>Y> |

Tim, Where did you fin the exhaust manifold? I am having the same water in the oil problem, I cannot see how water can get into the oil through the manifold but will believe you if you say it worked. Thanks, Chuck |

Chuck, does your engine still run good and do you have oil that looks like a milk shake? |

I bid $100 for the water pump. Am assuming it is a Sherwood E20. |

It's a small item but the water hose fitting atop the cylinder head is peculiar to the Palmer engine and is different from the IH tractor engine. You might consider stripping it off the long block unless someone wants the rest of the engine all together. |

Jim , Contact me through my email. I think $50.00 is more like it for a guy to call it a good deal for both parties. Tim |

If Jim didn't take the water pump, I'll take it. Mine's failing and spraying water through the weep hole, and although I just bought lip seals and a gasket seal, I'd like to have a spare when we go to put the new parts in. Anybody want to see what they look like when they're leaking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5habz0gS0Y |
