Some interesting parts of this engine . . . . The mounting base is at the bottom of the crankcase. A really big and heavy flywheel ( implies it was a slow running engine) The two spark plugs are different. The doesn't seem to be an indication of a conversion from Make and Break to spark plug ignition. The crank bearings are longer than usual. The oil drip for cylinder lubrication. The head doesn't look to be water cooled. The castings look well finished. All of this seems to point to an early engine - maybe a dual fuel ( gasoline start, kerosene run) miro |

looks like a blomstrom timmer and the water pump is close looking too,the short stubby shaft sticking out the side would be for the pitchable prop . search blomstrom and look around at the ads. jamie |

we believe the small side shaft is a pivot point for some kind in/out clutch handle, there are other mount brackets for the mechanism which alot is missing. |

so the coupling slides front to rear and disengages off the keys for neutral? or this is not a in'out set up but direct drive with "pitchable prop"? how would pitchable prop work with the shaft sliding front to rear thru the log and strut??? would anyone here know of one these engines that the in'out linkage could be copied? thanks for help so far.
