* TOQUET There were some different variations ? Not many around for comparison ! Look in "SEARCH" several posts there. http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/1/105301.html#POST20908 * |

* Benjamin Louis Toquet ( pronounced TOKAY ) was the amazing man, he was one of the inventive minds in the first quarter of the century, probably 25 different patents. Like most of these creative inventive people running an everyday business was not in their liking so these inventions were sold to other Companies that produced and sold the product ! Toquet did mfgr a carburetor for his early engines and a few yrs later stayed with this and formed the 'The Toquet Carburetor Corp " in West Port, Conn and later had sales offices in New York. The alluring and dominating direction of interest was in the automobile industry and Toquet was on board with Carbs for Ford, Dodge, and many other applications ! I'm sure a book could be written about his endeavors ? 1921 literature * |
