I am a complete novice in electrics, i know that the red cable goes to the solenoid but where does the black wire go.? The engine is a Nanni N2.10, does the wire just ground to any where on the engine or is there a particular lug where it should go. Any help would be great. |

If you are testing just the starter, take a black handled jumper battery cable and attached it to the starter frame- bolt hole works great- CAUTION there is a lot of torque in starter- put it in a vice. When the starter is bolted to the engine, the black negative cable from the battery can go to any bolt on the engine. Put the connector between two flat washers, then a lock washer, then the bolt. Check the tightness a few times a year. If you have a house battery and engine battery, then connect both cables together. |
