I am going to put a new head gasket in my m60 to try as a temporary repair until I can replace the engine this fall. I found what appears to be a leak near a head bolt. What is the torque pattern and torque specification? I am in Lake Superior so I am using the non copper head gasket intentionally. I'm just trying to get use out of the engine for the rest of this sailing season. |

Torque at 45 ft lbs. Pattern is from the center bolt then to each side then working out toward either end going again from the bolt in center row out to each side as you progress outward. |

Thanks. After replacing the head gasket I still have no compression in the two middle cylinders. I am having the valves adjusted in hopes that this will act as a temporary repair until this fall. I am going to have the engine rebuilt this fall. With two kids in college I just can't afford to replace it right now. |
