I have a 1 cyl. Greenwich Marine (Palmer) MK I-8 that has developed a hole in the head from the combustion chamber into the water jacket. Can this be repaired? Where might I find a replacement? |

Also known as the PW-27. If you have a hole in the head what is the state of the water jacket. sounds to me you may have salt water problems. Has this unit been in salt water or fresh water? The place to get a possible repair is George Coates IV ([email protected]) If the problem is salt water drying out the water jacket you probably have more problems in the cylinder water jacket. Better chat with George and hope for a solution. Regards, Dick Day |

Thanks for the response. The engine has been in both salt and fresh water for about 40 years. Originally LI Sound, then Lake George followed by Lake Erie and most recently in the Cheasapeake for about 10 years. I will contact George Coates IV. Thanks again. |
