The typical priming cup on the left was included here just for the sense of scale. I have never seen a priming cup quite so unusual as the one on the right. After handling it for a bit I thought it might be of European origin but the thread is standard 1/8" pipe thread. Perhaps it was designed for a very specific make of engine? Maybe an early automobile engine?

Ernie, have you ever seen an ad for these leggy primer cups or an engine in an ad that has one installed on it as original equipment?

International kerosene tractor engines used a long stem primer cup.I have seen a number of tractors with them on.Don't remember that same arm.
