I am rebuilding a pw-27. I bought a manual as well as a book on single cylinder gas engines. So far everything is going as planned. However I have run into one thing I can't figure out. In the side of the valve chamber there is a right angle flare fitting. what does this connect to? In the manual I found a few pics that showed the fitting, but only one that showed a line running from it, but I can't see where it goes. Any ideas? |

I believe that's the crank case vent to the caburator. It is on mine. Steve |

Yup it is the breather It is just a short piece of copper tubing ending in front of the carb air inlet flame trap |

No wonder why I can't find where it goes, it goes nowhere! Thanks for the help. So that recycles the gases that slip by into the crankcase and reburns them right? |

Yup that is exactly what it does. The end is cut at a 45 so it goes kind of flat against the front of the flame trap |
