First let me apologize if I have missed a posting that answers the questions I am about to ask, I promise I did look. I have a M7 s/n 13438 that is in need of a water pump rebuild (it’s leaking) and while having it out wanted to know if there is anywhere to get a book or file on the parts breakdown. The second question is regarding a good place to get parts in the future for this engine. I am interested in the hard to find “marine” parts of the engine, transmission. Thanks in advance as this is my first post although I have been reading them for quite some time and enjoy the conversations very much.

If your engine has the original water pump it is serviceable. There was originally a wrench hanging on a chain from the pump to tighten the packing. The two nuts on the exposed shafts have slots for the wrench to grab and tighten. Just enough to stop the leak not real tight.
