I am the proud owner of a Yanmar NTS85 believed to be 40-50 years old. She is in near perfect condition and I am just about to put her into an 1940's Athol Burns Design Clinker. I have no information whatsoever on this engine and would be grateful if anybody can tell me more about it. |

Hi Mervvyn, Yes the NTS85, does have reverse. You may just need to do some adjustment. I know here in Aus, the reverse band is about the only part of this engine which cannot be sourced as a replacement part. Great engine, except for low rev vibration, but that is common to all the single cylinder engines of the time I think. Paul. |

I have a photo copy of the work shop manual and the original owners manual. I bought both of these from. MINARDS Yanmar Diesel Specialists. P.O. Box 304. Toronto. N.S.W. Aus. 2283. http://www.yanmarspareparts.com/ Hope this helps. The people I dealt with were very good. Postage to U.S.A. should not be too bad. Paul. |
