This is my latest purchase, a Gilmore 2 cylinder 4hp. It has an alluminum base, drip oilers, three port design, manufactured in Detroit. Does anyone have any info on this engine or company. |

J.B. Gillmore Motor Mfg Co. is listed in 1913 index of marine eng makers. Looked through a lot of material, this is the only ad I can find so far.Says three types of engs I would like to know what they were. E.J. Willis mentioned at bottom of ad was a marine supply catalog Co.,a 1913-14 copy might show the line of engs ?? This is only file picture I have, been in file 2 yrs, don't know source ?? |
