I have a Tartan 27 with an old Farymann A30M Engine. I managed to get a line wrapped around the prop and consequently, the flexible coupler broke that connects the shaft to the engine. I've called Farymann and they said the part is on back order. Does anyone know if there are other replacement options or has anyone had one made? |

It is possible to use a polyethylene disk coupler for your replacement. You need to make a spacer to take up the difference in space which was needed for the Farymann coupler. The replacement is much less expensive, and can be supplied with the correct spacing for the fasteners. These disks have a failsafe crosspiece so you won't be dead in the water if the disk fails. |
