shouldn't the "trip" lever open the contacts at about 5 deg before top dead center no mater which way the flywheel is spinning. |

Lee, Somewhere between 0 and 10 or more depending on speed and load. 5 is a good average to start with and then see how it runs best once it is in the water. To bounce start the engine you will need something in the area of maybe even 20. Are you going to bring your Palmer look alike to Mystic? Hopefully you will be able to make it with the new boat too. but it should fire 5 deg on each side this one is fire 5 deg after TDC in one direction and 5 before in the other Lee |

I lossened the set screws and move the ecentric back to the right place. now if I can get clean contacts to get a good spark. tried Pokeys coil tonight and still intermintent spark Lee |
