I have said for years that the best entertainment you can get from a boat is to just go to the local boat ramp find some shade to sit in while you consume an adult beverage or too. Doesn't even require you to own a boat...
Thanks Richard

Yes, I have been entertaining the bus loads of pensioners that come to my local ramp for years

Similarly, I feel sorry for those who live close to boat ramps and who are light sleepers. Boat ramps are truly places where the best and worst of the human condition can be experienced on most days.

During the high water, the fishermen were launching their boats in the highway ditches, and the cops were just boiling mad. I dropped my first boat right off the trailer, and on the cement ramp when I first got it.

Now that's funny rat there!

My dad & mom some times in the evening will grab a burger & go down to the public boat ramps at the lake front just to watch the boats load & un-load. Dad say's its real entertaining to watch them. especially when the game & fish patrol shows up.

What is even better is when someone that actually does know how to back up a trailer simply launches thier boat. The comments and expressions from those who don't are right up there with the "walmartians"
