Hello everybody! I am buying a (maybe) 1973 Riva-Bertram 25 Sport Fisherman. She has two beautiful blue so-called Riva Crusader V8 engines, but on the documents I read Thermo Electron engines. Their numbers are 92414 and 92425 Anybody can provide me with more information about those engines? It will be helpful to find owners' manual as well. Many thanks, best regards Nick |

The Crusader Marine engines were first built by a fellow named Cal Connell a Cadillac Dealer & Performance speed-shop owner & boat racer. He called his boats & engines Crusader. His Crusader marine engine company was later sold to Thermo Electron Corp. At first Cal Connell used Cadillac engines as the base engines for his marine engines. He later switched to both Big & Small block Chevrolet base engines. This is what you most likely have. |
