I am thinking old White or Autocar the timing cover isn't like any Herc I have seen. Take a look in an old Motor truck manual they have some pretty good pics. |

Maybe but no a blanket statement. Also I don't remember them having 2 seperate heads. The timing cover isn't any Continental I have seen either. I looked in my old Motors Repair manuals but no longer have a truck one. Got cars back to 1935 though. Also a good real automotive machine shop should have a book with all the casting numbers and what they are. That is if they kept thier old documentation... |

Scott, Now listen this is an informational board and no apology necessary ever. Just look at all the tons of good info that has come up due to someone guessing at something right or wrong and that alone caused some neat fact/s to come to light. My comments are distant recolections from auto and truck repair back in the 60s and 70s. It might be a Herc or a Conti however I am guessing not. That doesn't make your comment wrong. I was only suggesting that the dist in the head doesn't make it a Conti for sure. Ernie |
