I have a nice Farymann 18D diesel with a Finnish reduction gearbox on the back made by Suomen Moottoritehdas, (Finnish Motor Works), now out of business. I know NOTHING about this gearbox and really need help understanding it. Any possible help out there regarding the above?? Thanks for looking, Dennis |

You can search if there are any traces about your gearbox in Ephemera's Industrial price lists 1810-1944: http://digi.lib.helsinki.fi/pienpainate/secure/main.html Search for Suomen Moottoritehdas publications whether you can identify the type of your product. |

You can start by identifying the type of your gearbox. Ephemera's Industrial price lists 1810-1944 stores some publications from Suomen Moottoritehdas: http://digi.lib.helsinki.fi/pienpainate/secure/main.html |

Thank you, Hannu. That is a great resource and I would never have found it on my own. Happy New Year, Dennis |
