(A) Buda KM428 with "Marblehed Buda" on what looks like transmission (sorry, marine is not my thing) is available in Minn, EBay #230563761066; I have no personal connection, but am dying of curiosity:
(B) what does the "Marblehead" mean??? There's a Marblehead on the east coast (Mass??) and a Marblehead, Ohio, on the south side of Lake Erie, south of a Buda factory in Algonac, Mich...
Was this possibly a racing setup or a heavy-weather setup for Lake boats??
Any comments appreciated!! Many thxx!! Bud

I seen that engine when it sold at the Mecum auction in Winsted, MN a couple months back. Big heavy unit. Dual ignition. Looked like it was from a larger cruiser. Marblehead was the model. It was made in Harvey, IL

Jim:Many thxx for your comments.
My goof on Algonac: there was a Chris Craft factory there, not the Buda, which, as you corrected, was in Harvey...I also omitted mention of the Marblehead in the UK...
The KM428 was reportedly an option on a Chris Craft 32 Sea Craft per other posts (would that be considered a fresh water boat or was it suitable for seagoing??) and there was a post with comments on chriscraft.org that I can't seem to get back into, as well as the posts on smokstak...
Did you mean "Marblehead" was the transmission model or the engine model?? (None of my few marine engine listings show "Marblehead" under Buda, but my stuff is only peripherally marine).
Any further illumination would be greatly appreciated!! Bud
