Hello All
I was on here a while back inquiring about an engine for an old boat and now due to conditions beyond my control I am forced to sell this old boat that has been in the family since circa 1900. The boat has been in a barn since its' last time on the water around 1938. The engine was removed and sold in the 60's by my great grandfather. The shaft and prop remains.
The boat is a a 18' launch and is 5' at its widest in the waist. There is a plaque that identifies it as a "E Gerry Emmons manufactured in Swampscott"
Question: how much is this antique boat worth and where can i get a value on it? It is a one of a kind find that enthusiasts dream about so I would hate to be taken on it.
I made a video of it and will be posting it on youtube under capecodtraintodd.
There is also a canoe for sale that is probably about 80 years old but that does not have a name or any ID. on it.
If anyone can guide me to a decent buyer let me know.

I like that old ad for the Emmons. The Rudder must have been a book or magazine about boating and I am assuming that this was an ad in that publication. Nice.
I have a picture post card with the Minnet featured with 9 adults and a boy on it, the boy is my great grandfather. The stamp on the back was cancelled on Aug 14 1905, really cool.

Rudder was a boating magazine. It quit publication a long while back as I had been subscribing to it for a long time, and I am not sure of what transpired but "Rudder" is now the official magazine of the ACBS (Antique and Classic Boat Society Inc.) |
