Got my F-85 back together and purring like a cat. The 6 volt had a tough time turning the engine over but after a couple of chugs off she went! Runs great. As if by magic the thread about doubling up on the 6 volt batteries appeared and will be implemented tomorrow! Thanks very much for sharing that info and the wiring diagram. Much appreciated. Hi! Nice lookin engine! Is that the original color? I thought it would be like green? Shouldn¨t tha carb be sitting 180 degrees pointing forward? |

Not a true color picture. I will post later today. Much more red than orange. Yes, its the original color. I matched it to samples I found when I took the engine apart. And yes, someone mounted the carb backwards as they had the wrong configuration on the fuel pump and the spark arrestor from the carb would not clear for mounting. A correct fuel pump fixed that problem. Mike |

OK! How on earth do you ad pics in this site??? It´s not like in normal web sites....... I have two Phantom Four-75 engines now, one is red like yours and one is green! The green one is in original color I guess but there are just 20 numbers from each other in serial number so which one has the correct color?? |
