I just received a call from a guy in North Carolina who got a Kermath Sea Cub out of a barn (Hercules ZX block). He is not a marine engine enthusiast and would like to sell it for a modest amount to someone who could make use of it. It sounds like it is in good shape except that it is missing the manifold... He is going to try to post an ad in the classifieds... but he does not have a computer so will ask a friend to do it. If anyone is interested let me know and I will forward his phone number off the board. |

I am interested if the sea cub has a transmission...I have the sea twin and need a transmission...they each have the same one and I could probably also exchange other parts as well. |

All I want for Christmas are some Kermath parts. For a Sea cub that is. Some valves and bearing shells, a starter and generator. Bought a manual from the OME store....should arrive any day now but I don't expect it to tell me where to go...for parts that is...but hopefully someone can.............Joe |

I recently bought a fiberglass hull for a 21ft launch that needs to be completed. The boat came with a Kermath Sea Cub that supposedly was rebuit and is complete. We would prefer to have an electric propulsion system on the launch or a smaller 1-2 cylinder engine. Question, what is the Sea Cub worth in today's market for an outright sale or does someone have a smaller gas or electric motor? |

Hank, Typically, you'll see prices in the $100's not $1000's. Add to that the cost of getting the engine and you'll see why your potential buyers are rarely more than 50-100 miles away. miro |

I have a Kermath Sea Cub engine/transmission that has zero hours on it. The cylinders have been turned and fogged manually on a seasonal basis. It was originally to be used in a hull - up sailboat project started in the 60's. The original builder has died and I ended up with the boat which is nearing completion. I am starting to think I should put a diesel in the boat. Any one out there interested in aquiring this gem of an engine? It is in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. |

I have a Kermath Sea Cub, all original and complete including transmission and paragon 2to1 reduction gear. Comes with hand crank, propshaft flange, parts and service manual, chok&throttle cables, and kermath instrument panel.Have original bill of sale purchased by my father in 1948.It was taken out of service in 1959 with no more than 200 hours on it.Also have a catalogue of Kermath engines in that year.It is located in the Hamilton Ontario area. |
