My marine diesel is running slowly forward while in neutral. When in neutral I can rotate hte shaft by hand quite easily but the minute I start it in neutral it spins. Any advice would be greatly appreciated |

I am assuming this is a velvet drive. Make sure the
The detent on the transmission is in neutral. The forward clutch pack could be dragging or spool could be washed out do to prolonged partial engagement |
