I've never pulled a tranny from a marine engine. Do I just back out the bolts holding it to the block and pan and gently back it out? The motor is out of the boat. Thanks, Mike |

No you take it apart at the bolts to the left of the moter mounts in the picture.The piece bolted to the engine block and pan will NOT come off without removeing the flywheel and the bolts behind the flywheel. |

Thanks for the reply. The tranny in this picture is on the left end. I just unscrewed the tranny bolts and the two that go into the block underneath the tranny and out she came! Piece of cake. And the good news, everything is bright and shiny inside. Woohoo. Mike |
