I have a Century Resorter with a 318 Chrysler. When I checked the oil it was milky white. I'm getting water in the oil. She still runs smooth and doesn't over heat. I thought it might be a head gasket but a friend thought it might have something to do with the water pump. HELP! Thanks, Jim [email protected] |

I have run across this before. There is a adapter/timing chain cover behind the water pump. in time they erode and or corrode allowing water into the crankcase at the front of the engine. I certainly would check this first. and maybe change the timing chain while your at it. |

We find that when working with the 318 that the exhaust manifold are often a cause of water in oil, you might want to start there. Good luck with your resorter. |

i have a 318 in my houseboat,it has water in the oil as well,lots of blowby,still fires right up,could it ,head gasket,bad ex manifolds,or cracked block,the blockdeal is hard to belive. |
