Using a Krice carb on an old engine can be frustrating. However they can be made to work very well. Number 1 install a new float. They are available from Otto Gas Engine Works. click for Otto Gas Engine Works Number 2 Install the new float and assemble carb. Number 3 Now remove the center. (round throttle piece) This will allow you to see the hole in the center that the needle valve seats into. (Hole in center for fuel mixture needle valve) Number 4 Now adjust the fuel level so fuel is right at the top of the hole the needle valve goes into. Note the fuel level needle valve is adjustable. It has a lock nut and can be screwed in and out like a turnbuckle. Number 5 Reinstall the center piece making sure that the extra tiny hole in the throttle piece is on the engine side of the carb. It will go either way and the engine won't run well if it is backwards. Good luck Ernie |
