ok would like to know whitch port on an early U the water pump on timer shaft goese were there is 1/8 pipe fitting up on top and a 1/4 fitting on the side Im not fitting the engine in a boat but would like to know how the piping is set up to run on a stand thanks The other wuestion i had is the pump open tothe cylender any other place water is r outed tothe cylender?? as there are two screw holes near the exhaust port? |

Ernie nice fan tail and engine it seems i have a 1/8 pipe elbo fitting were you have a grease cup on the top of your water pump is this correct and do you pack it with water pump grease?? i guess i need to add a greaser to mine?? not sure what is correct as the catalog pics i have dont show either ?? i see the upper pipe fitting above the exhuast i thought this was for the exaust pipe support?? went i see that a water outlet port rig tnow i have three openings on my water pump i guess i plug two of these and use one like your is bob |

Bob, The inlet on the pump is the horizontal one on the right side of the pic. There is also an opening on the bottom which is plugged on mine. The grease cup goes in the top where the L bo is. I use water pump grease in that one. Wheel bearing grease in the ones for the mains. You are correct the water outlet is on the back above the exhaust. Hope this helps Ernie |

ernie that was thoughing me off not sure why mine had three fitting in mine the only pic i have is a orginal sales ad and that shows o nly one outlet onthe pump and no pumbing thanks for your help and link to your pics hopefuly now i can get it all button up in the coming months when ihave time bob |
