how old what size, any info at all cant seem to find anything like it , loads of coventry engines but none like mine,most grateful for your help engine number is c d m o /383/252, it came out of a fire damaged barge, cheers, wordave |

Coventry Climax did a CDM engine, I'll check my catalogues tonight and see how theyb compare. If you could get the full number off the injection pump, that would help also. Peter |

pump has numbers on it , 351/1 2000 a,v,r6967bx a 60s200563 L 20 [ ]cant make out this letter or number 43 variable 30138 |

The reverse gear and bellhousing adaptor sure look Yanmar. However the flywheel housing is most likely a standard size. You can check the numbers on the reverse gear and they may help you identify it and possibly the engine |

Hi Your engine is:- a COVENTRY DIESEL C.D.M.Q 383 (note Q not O) normally fitted into fork trucks and the likes, could be 15hp could be 18hp not sure which yours is, and I do not know how to date it, wish I did, as I have one myself, rathe envious of the gearbox on yours, mine has a simply clutch housing and output flange, best regards martin |
