I just aquired a 17' Grumman boat with a Fageol 44 VIP vertically mounted engine. It is probably a late 50's vintage. I believe that the engine is a Crosley 4 cyl overhead cam. Can anyone give me info on where I may be able to get engine Parts. The boat has not been used in many years so I don't know what I'm going to run into when I start to restore it. Thanks Mike |

I have 2 Fageol 44 V.I.P.'s available for sale. They are brand-new in original factory wooden crates & include correct props. Located St. Ignace, Michigan near Mackinac Island, Michigan. Includes 18' Honduran mahogany hand-crafted boat (incomplete) designed for these engines. Engine mounting brackets are installed. Can I purchase the installation/maintenance manual for these engines from anyone? |

Toni, I plan to be in St. Ignace August 7, 8, and probably the 9th for the Hessel Wooden Boat Show. I plan to have my just finished restoration of a 1949 Globe Mastercraft and have it entered in the show. Call me at 262-284-3650 I am a little interested. Frank |

Frank Petran - We came from California to St. Ignace...had tickets for the Hessel show, and the Les Cheneaux Islands cruise by Arnold Line leaving from Mackinac Island. But we didn't go to the boat show because I was ill and then it rained that morning of the 8th! While in St. Ignace & Mackinac, I did sell my grandfather's mahogany boat and the two new Fageol 44 VIP's. The local newspaper had great photos of the boat show. Sorry we missed seeing your boat. Thanks for your interest! ..Toni |
