Folks, Keep your eyes peeled for the Ernestina, AKA...the Morrissey while at Mystic. It's a two masted schooner built in 1894 and may be in local waters. It was Captain Bob Bartlett's ship when he sailed out of Brigus, Newfoundland and took many a passenger to Greeenland and other regions in the Arctic during the early 1930s. I am related distantly to him. In 1909 he took Admiral Peary to the North Pole on the Roosevelt, but that is an earlier story. Anyhow, if you do spot her, please take a shot or two for me. Archibald . |

Had a great time - it was my first visit to Mystic - talk about information overload - but with old 19th and 20th century info - especially the greasy smelly kind. Had a very nice spin with Ernie in his launch - good to see a single cylinder Gray doing what it is supposed to be - pushing a nice boat through the water ( please flush out the salt water though). miro |
