Hello. I picked up what I "think" is a Gray water-cooled 2 stroke, but it has no tags or casting marks. Thanks in advance for any info.

It looks similar to a Gray marine, the tag was held on with 4 screws. It has an old bronze Schebler carburetor. As hard as i try I cannot find anything similar. |

I can only find a poor photo of a Cushman 2 hp marine engine but it does have similarities. |

Quite sure its not a Gray.
Also the Gray engines that had tags that I have seen were attached with 2 screws. Note in the previous post I said Cushman with a question mark. |

Will be away from computer for a few days, have been traveling to our North Florida property last few months building Barn/shop and moving 45 years of collectibles into it !
1. Land
2.Finishing concrete with country house and small barns in background

4.Half barn has steel frame for second story loft
storage, roof peak is 22 ft
5. lifting heavy items up stairs this elctric lift is a knee saver
6.Installing 12" drive through doors
7. Barn was put on a 3 ft dirt pad to raise it out of the swamp in wet season and give the alligators a dry spot to sun themselves, leveling fill dirt

Here is a photo of the intake plate, and it is rectangular with 4 bolts.  |

Here is a picture of a Cushman taken by Chuck Franklin at one of the Mystic Seaport Antique Marine Engine Expos back in the 90s
The engine is a Cushman HP3 owner T Teeter from Cedar Rapids, IA.
The source of the pic is the cover of an English Magazine that is no longer in print.

So Richard, How many engines and boats will it hold? Length and width? Construction is different when you don't have to worry about Snow loads. Any special requirements for Tornado's? Very nice. |

Keith, base is 40' by 60' eave is 15 ft peak 22ft.
Whats Snow ? only roof load is pine needles and our down pours wash them off !
Although the frame looks rather spindly these Space Age bldgs with mig welded channel steel on 5 ft centers , covered with heavy guage sheet steel meets and exceeds all of Florida counties wind codes (150 mph).My experience with commercial bldgs metal or CBS and wind storms is the source of most damage is the wind bowing the roleup doors in untill they derail and thats when most of the damage is sustained, actual damaging tornados are fairly rare but when they get to an f3 (158 to 206 mph)alot of things start unglueing, the upper end of an f4 (207 to 260 mph) starts clearing the land so you can rebuild again !

Richard it looks like you have room for a lot of my toys, what a great building. I have found that the more room I have the more things I collect.
I sent an email to Cushman to see what info they can give me on the motor, it is missing a few parts so I'm not sure what will come of it.
