Your Atlas sounds great and I just have to tell you about my experience with a 3 Cyl. Atlas,..in the Pilot Tugboat "Mercury",..out of Westport, Wa. in 1960-62 and me stationed at the Coast Guard Station there.. Amazing power, pulling Bouys off of the beach and once an electrical fire on board, which we put out, but in the "Dark", down in the engine room and I was the second fireman holding the hose,..reached over for some support and managed to grab a Push Rod, with the engine still running (Idle)...what a shock and amazement,..I quickly checked to see if my hand was still there!! What an experince!! |
