Hi can someone please help me I am trying to find the year of my evinrude motor i know it's a 2 stroke but can't find the tag that shows the year and other info. what I have found is i think a serial number CD2584783 and another code 2E V-OA? does this make sense to anyone?

Those numbers don't seem right... the model numbers for early evinrudes are shown here. |

i have an evinrude trying to find year..20 hp model# is 20r71 S.. serial e3416833 Maybe a 20 hp 1971?????? want to know for sure thanks |

Give Don at Engine Blade and Prop 414-671-0533 and ask him. He has most of the old records and parts that you will probably need. He has been restoring old Evinrudes for as long as I can remember. Frank |
