Hi guys,
I would like to replace plug wires on our p-60 the old ones have printed on side, 7mm hi temp radio suppressant cable. Our local bond auto has cut yourself cables that they could not say are radio suppressant. Would there cables be ok or do I need to try anoyher source?

Kevin, spark plug wires that are not radio suppressant are rare and not commonly used. They are technically illegal, off a race track, but more than that are a nuisance to yourself and others near by because of their radio interferance.
Ignition wires are one of the last places I would cut corners so I would not deal with that store on this issue.
I suggest getting high performance street legal, which means radio supressant, wire kit. The good stuff, like Accel, MSD, Taylor ect., from a speed shop or auto parts store that handles high performance ignition parts.
You will need 45 degree spark plug boots to angle the wires up slightly so that you will clear the water hose at the aft end of the engine.
Cut the wires to size and slide the boots on BEFORE you crimp on the terminals. Use a little silicone lubricant on boots to get them on easier. |
