Slowspeed, it depends on the condition of your 2-71 Core Engine and what application,..right now the value of the engine is less than what it was a year ago, but still, there are so many out there and people are looking for rebuilt ones, verses just rebuildable cores. Right now just the core engines are worth about $400 to $600, more if they have the Generator or PTO on them, like a 2-71 PTO Unit, complete with Radiator and Skid, good running 2-71 I have available right now, going for $2000.00.
