I just have to say how much I appreciate your postings, with information on known and unknown engines. You must have a large collection of publications from the turn of the century.

Searching for names of North American Marine Engine Companys and photos of their engines for my data base I have acquired quite a bit of interesting information from 1890's to 1940. With 1574 entries to date, it is I believe, the largest compilation of its kind to ever exist, and continuing research to add to it ! I enjoy sharing this information and like we have said before these old relics are wonderful to search out and collect as well as the restoration process the history around each one just adds another dimension.
I was thinking that if We discussed a different engine each week here it would take over 30 years to to get through the list and If an article on each was written each month that would take over 130 years ??. I'll keep posting some things as they come up !!

I really appreciate when you post anything from Minnesota, or anywhere else for that matter. I gave up trying to buy general period literature, it is just too expensive, but your posts are always saved for my records. |

I'll Keep an eye out for Minnesota items of interest.
The literature is certainly getting not only expensive but harder to find all the time, at least some times a copy can be made, to bad we can't make copies of some of the old engines !!
